When they find themselves competing for the same job, Pulitzer-winning photojournalist Jason Moon sets out to fix camgirl/hot mess/influencer Lizette Clary, and gets fixed by her instead.
This is a slow-burn romance unfolding over multiple books! Fans of Sophie Kinsella, Helen Hoang, and Julia Kent will love this new series, written by New York Times Bestselling Author SM Reine as Elle Hume.
What is the heat level? There are no sex scenes until book 3, but they’re steamy when they show up! I rate three eggplant emojis out of five. You’ll have lots of kissing, longing stares, and accidentally shirtless shenanigans to tide you over until then.
Why multiple books? My favorite part of romances is watching people grow together. I’ve been married to my husband IRL for over a decade, and I’m more in love with him now than we started out. We’ve grown together. I have lots of ideas for the ways for these guys to grow too.
Can I have trigger warnings? The heroine is mentally ill with undiagnosed manic depression, an eating disorder, and substance abuse problems. It’s portrayed with sympathy, but some details may be triggering to addicts or people with ED. As someone who struggles with all of the above, this story is very dear to my heart. My experiences (and Lizette’s) may not be identical to yours, but I hope that my Crazy Friends out there will feel a connection, and a little more normal. <3
Is this book safe for young adults? There is no on-the-page sex in book one and no violence. I also elected not to use common swear words in this book. However, My Fair Millennial features mature content, including substance abuse, discussions of sex acts, and various raunchy jokes. I wouldn’t give it to my fifteen year old if I were you, but you know your fifteen year old better than I do.
Happy reading! ~Elle xo
